CCHH is one of only a few acupuncture colleges world wide that teaches an integration of TCM and 5 Element acupuncture. Lu began her acupuncture practice at Essence of Health in 2004 and opened Nikau Room in May 2008. Lu is a mother to 2 children aged 6 & 3. Five element acupuncture as with TCM helps us to understand patterns of behaviour and thought and the reflections of these in the body when there is imbalance. I utlise this style of acupuncture with clients who are on a journey of awareness or self discovery. Physically the body stores memories of old hurt and pain, mental, emotional and physical. When the body is calling for traumas and blockages to be resolved pain, stiffness and immobility often arises, acupuncture assists in energetically clearing and rebalancing these so the body is able to function to its fullest potential. Acupuncture assists in clearing old thought patterns and emotional blockages that are ready to be shifted. When the blockages shift we are reminded of how good we can feel in life physically and mental emotionally. This is great for support in times of transition and change and is suitable as an adjunct with other talking therapies. Clinically i utilise the full holistic spectrum of the Traditional Chinese Medicine model to treat, educate and equip individuals with the tools to live a healthy balanced life. I offer advice regarding diet, stress management, basic qi gong, meditation, affirmations, treatment direction regarding acupuncture and Chinese Herbs tailored to the individual. As appropriate I work in and refer to other practitioners such as Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Psychotherapists, Doctors etc toward the common goal of assisting individuals in achieving your health and wellness goals.
